Yin Yoga is designed to complement active styles of yoga like Vinyasa and Power Yoga which are considered to be more of a Yang pratice. In Yin Yoga, long-held soothing postures calm the mind and stretch deeply into the joints, improving mobility, countering the effects of aging and preparing the body for seated meditation. More specifically in Yin Yoga we work on the deeper layers of body tissue beneath muscle tissue which moves energy and aids in the overall health and restoration of our organs and body.
